Description
This Slow Cooker Beef Chili is packed with bold spices, tender ground beef, beans, and veggies โ all simmered low and slow for the ultimate comforting bowl. Just set it and forget it until dinnerโs ready!
Ingredients
โข 1 lb ground beef
โข 1 small onion, diced
โข 3 cloves garlic, minced
โข 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
โข 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
โข 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
โข 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
โข 1 cup beef broth
โข 2 tablespoons chili powder
โข 1 tablespoon ground cumin
โข 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
โข 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
โข 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
โข Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion until no longer pink. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker.
3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth.
4. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6โ8 hours or HIGH for 3โ4 hours.
6. Stir well before serving.
7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions.
