Description

These Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are buttery, flaky, and filled with a creamy, savory sausage mixture. Perfect for parties, snacks, or a comforting treat, these crescents are incredibly easy to make and guaranteed to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage (spicy or mild, based on your preference)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Sausage In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Break it into crumbles as it cooks, then drain any excess grease. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Prepare the Filling In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, green onions (if using), and garlic powder (if using). Mix everything until well combined.
  • Assemble the Crescents Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of filling onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up each triangle and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Bake the Crescents Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use softened cream cheese to ensure it blends smoothly.
  • Experiment with your favorite dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or honey mustard for an extra flavor boost.
  • If you’d like a spicier version, use spicy sausage or sprinkle in some red pepper flakes.
