Description

This Honey Garlic Chicken Marinade is sweet, savory, and perfect for grilling, baking, or stir-frying. Made with pantry staples, it delivers big flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

▢ ½ cup honey

▢ ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

▢ 2 tablespoons olive oil

▢ 4 cloves garlic, minced

▢ 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar

▢ 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

▢ 1½ pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl or large zip-top bag, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, vinegar, and black pepper.

2. Add chicken and coat thoroughly with marinade.

3. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2–4 hours.

4. Remove chicken from marinade and cook as desired — grill, bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, or pan-fry until golden and cooked through.

5. Optional: Bring leftover marinade to a boil in a small saucepan for 5 minutes to use as a sauce.

Notes

• For a thicker sauce, simmer the leftover marinade with a cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water).

• Great with rice, stir-fried veggies, or a salad.

• Works well with tofu or shrimp as a protein alternative.
