Description
This Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry is quick, easy, and packed with flavorโjust like your favorite takeout, but healthier and faster! Tender beef strips and crisp-tender broccoli in a savory garlic-ginger soy sauce… dinner perfection in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
For the Stir-Fry
โข 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
โข 3 cups broccoli florets
โข 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
โข 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
โข 3 garlic cloves, minced
**For the Sauce**
โข 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
โข 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
โข 1 tablespoon brown sugar
โข 1 teaspoon sesame oil
โข 1/4 cup beef broth or water
โข 2 teaspoons cornstarch
**Optional Garnish**
โข Sesame seeds
โข Sliced green onions
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, beef broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
3. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2โ3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Add the broccoli and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 2โ3 minutes until crisp-tender.
6. Return the beef to the pan. Pour the sauce over everything and stir to coat. Cook for 1โ2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
7. Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with rice.
