Description

This Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry is quick, easy, and packed with flavorโ€”just like your favorite takeout, but healthier and faster! Tender beef strips and crisp-tender broccoli in a savory garlic-ginger soy sauce… dinner perfection in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

For the Stir-Fry

โ–ข 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

โ–ข 3 cups broccoli florets

โ–ข 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

โ–ข 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

โ–ข 3 garlic cloves, minced

**For the Sauce**

โ–ข 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

โ–ข 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

โ–ข 1 tablespoon brown sugar

โ–ข 1 teaspoon sesame oil

โ–ข 1/4 cup beef broth or water

โ–ข 2 teaspoons cornstarch

**Optional Garnish**

โ–ข Sesame seeds

โ–ข Sliced green onions

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, beef broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2โ€“3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

4. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Add the broccoli and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 2โ€“3 minutes until crisp-tender.

6. Return the beef to the pan. Pour the sauce over everything and stir to coat. Cook for 1โ€“2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

7. Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with rice.

Notes

โ€ข Slice beef thin and against the grain for the most tender bite.

โ€ข Donโ€™t overcook the broccoliโ€”you want it crisp-tender.

โ€ข Great with jasmine rice or noodles!
