This 30-Minute Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is creamy, comforting, and packed with flavor. Juicy seasoned chicken, tender pasta, and a rich Parmesan-garlic cream sauce come together in a skillet dinner that’s easy enough for busy weeknights but indulgent enough for guests.
Ingredients
â–¢ 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine work well)
â–¢ 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
â–¢ 2 tablespoons olive oil
â–¢ 4 cloves garlic, minced
â–¢ 1 cup heavy cream
â–¢ 1 cup chicken broth
â–¢ 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
â–¢ 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
â–¢ 1/2 teaspoon salt
â–¢ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
â–¢ 1 tablespoon butter
â–¢ Optional: chopped parsley or red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
6. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth and creamy. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
7. Return cooked chicken to the skillet, followed by the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until coated in the sauce.
8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with parsley or red pepper flakes and serve hot.
Notes
You can swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra veggies.
Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut — just skip step 3.
